1 Samuel: 1

1:2And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

1:2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

1:2We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

1:2Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

1:2For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

1:2Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built.

1:2Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

1:2Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

1:2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

1:2I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,

1:2And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

1:2Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

1:2I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD.

1:2Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:2To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:2Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

1:2Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.

1:2O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!

1:2(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

1:2The Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought them down to the ground: he hath polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof.

1:2Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

1:2That in those days, when the king Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the palace,

1:2The same was in the beginning with God.

1:2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

1:2Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

1:2And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

1:2Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

1:2Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

1:2To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

1:2It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.

1:3Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:

1:3And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

1:3It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

1:3And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

1:3It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

1:3If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

1:33From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

1:3For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

1:3Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.

1:3For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

1:3The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

1:3To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;

1:3And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1:3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

1:3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

1:3And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.

1:3And David said unto him, From whence comest thou? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.
