27:45Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
27:46And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
27:46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
27:47Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.
27:48And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
27:49The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
27:50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
27:51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
27:52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
27:53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
27:54Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
27:55And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
27:56Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children.
27:57When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:
27:58He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
27:59And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
27:60And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
27:61And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
27:62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
27:63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
27:64Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
27:65Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
27:66So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
28:1The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
28:1Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
28:1And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,
28:1And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.
28:1And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their armies together for warfare, to fight with Israel. And Achish said unto David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me to battle, thou and thy men.
28:1And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
28:1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
28:1And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
28:1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
28:1Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.
28:1The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
28:1(A Psalm of David.) Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
28:1And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
28:1Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:
28:1And after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the king's army was Joab.
28:2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
28:2And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.
28:2And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
28:2And David said to Achish, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of mine head for ever.
28:2Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother.
28:2Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.
28:2Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
28:2For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for Baalim.
28:2For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
28:2Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
28:2Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
28:2And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
