2 Samuel: 23

23:24Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

23:24Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

23:24Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.

23:24The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.

23:24And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

23:24When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

23:24These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.

23:24Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

23:24And they shall come against thee with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, which shall set against thee buckler and shield and helmet round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.

23:24Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

23:25Saul also and his men went to seek him. And they told David: wherefore he came down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon.

23:25And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.

23:25Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

23:25And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

23:25Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

23:25And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.

23:25Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.

23:25And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.

23:25When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.

23:25For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:

23:25And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

23:25I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

23:25Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

23:25And he wrote a letter after this manner:

23:26Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix sendeth greeting.

23:26They shall also strip thee out of thy clothes, and take away thy fair jewels.

23:26And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them.

23:26But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?

23:26Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

23:26There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

23:26Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

23:26And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

23:26How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

23:26Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.

23:26My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

23:26And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof.

23:26And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

23:27Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

23:27Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.

23:27Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

23:27But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land.

23:27And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.

23:27Abiezer the Anethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

23:27I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

23:27Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

23:27And the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.

23:27For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

23:27And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.

23:27For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above:

23:27This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an army, and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman.
