Jeremiah: 1

1:1The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:

1:1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

1:1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

1:1In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.

1:1The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

1:1The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.

1:1The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

1:1Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

1:1The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

1:1Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:

1:1How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!

1:1The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.

1:1Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.

1:1Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

1:1The song of songs, which is Solomon's.

1:1And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

1:2The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.

1:2Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

1:2And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

1:2Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

1:2Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,

1:2Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

1:2The Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought them down to the ground: he hath polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof.

1:2Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

1:2Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built.

1:2Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

1:2And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

1:2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

1:2And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.

1:2Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

1:2As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

1:2Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

1:2To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

1:2To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

1:2Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

1:22Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;

1:2And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.

1:2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

1:2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

1:2Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,

1:2And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

1:2O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!

1:2I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,

1:2God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

1:2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

1:2The same was in the beginning with God.

1:2Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

1:2It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.

1:2Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat.

1:2Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
