Genesis: 39

39:6And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

39:6Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

39:6Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.

39:6And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of Israel.

39:6Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah.

39:6And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

39:6Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

39:7So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

39:7And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

39:7And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they should be stones for a memorial to the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.

39:7He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.

39:7And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.

39:7And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

39:7Moreover he put out Zedekiah's eyes, and bound him with chains, to carry him to Babylon.

39:8Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

39:8Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.

39:8The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.

39:8But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;

39:8And he made the breastplate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

39:8And the Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem.

39:8Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

39:9Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?

39:9There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

39:9And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:

39:9Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to him, with the rest of the people that remained.

39:9It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.

39:9I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.

39:10So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

39:10Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.

39:10But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

39:10Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

39:10And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row.

39:10And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

39:11Now Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying,

39:11And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.

39:11And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

39:11When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.

39:11Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?

39:11And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.

39:12Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.

39:12And the third row, a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

39:12Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?

39:12And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

39:12And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.

39:12Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him even as he shall say unto thee.

39:13O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.

39:13Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.

39:13And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: they were inclosed in ouches of gold in their inclosings.

39:13So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushasban, Rabsaris, and Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, and all the king of Babylon's princes;

39:13Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
