Jeremiah: 31

31:25For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.

31:25If I rejoiced because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had gotten much;

31:25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

31:26Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of beast, thou, and Eleazar the priest, and the chief fathers of the congregation:

31:26And Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the sword?

31:26If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;

31:26Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

31:26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

31:26Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.

31:27And divide the prey into two parts; between them that took the war upon them, who went out to battle, and between all the congregation:

31:27Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth, and with songs, with tabret, and with harp?

31:27And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:

31:27Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.

31:27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

31:27For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?

31:28And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.

31:28And levy a tribute unto the LORD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:

31:28And hast not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? thou hast now done foolishly in so doing.

31:28Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.

31:28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

31:28This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.

31:29For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

31:29Take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, for an heave offering of the LORD.

31:29It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

31:29In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.

31:29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

31:29If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:

31:30But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

31:30And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

31:30And now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father's house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?

31:30And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.

31:30Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.

31:30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

31:31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

31:31And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

31:31And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me.

31:31If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.

31:31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

31:32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

31:32And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,

31:32With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.

31:32The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveller.

31:33If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:

31:33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

31:33And threescore and twelve thousand beeves,

31:33And Laban went into Jacob's tent, and into Leah's tent, and into the two maidservants' tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah's tent, and entered into Rachel's tent.

31:34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

31:34Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?

31:34And threescore and one thousand asses,

31:34Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.
