2 Chronicles: 35

35:14And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron were busied in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.

35:14Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.

35:14Ye shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall ye give in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.

35:14The candlestick also for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps, with the oil for the light,

35:14The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father's commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me.

35:14Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

35:14And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.

35:14I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

35:15But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:

35:15And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the porters waited at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.

35:15These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may flee thither.

35:15But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:

35:15And the incense altar, and his staves, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the door at the entering in of the tabernacle,

35:15As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

35:15I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.

35:15And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel.

35:16Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.

35:16And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

35:16So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.

35:16The altar of burnt offering, with his brasen grate, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot,

35:16And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.

35:16With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

35:16Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me:

35:17And if he smite him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

35:17The hangings of the court, his pillars, and their sockets, and the hanging for the door of the court,

35:17And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

35:17And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.

35:17Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.

35:17Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

35:18Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

35:18The pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords,

35:18And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

35:18And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.

35:18And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:

35:18I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

35:19Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

35:19The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.

35:19The cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.

35:19And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.

35:19Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.

35:19In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.

35:20For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

35:20But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;

35:20And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

35:20And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day.

35:20After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.

35:21Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.

35:21Or in enmity smite him with his hand, that he die: he that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meeteth him.

35:21And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD'S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

35:21And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Edar.
