Jeremiah: 36

36:19Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.

36:19And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

36:19And he made a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers' skins above that.

36:19And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.

36:19These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.

36:19Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

36:19Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

36:20And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.

36:20And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.

36:20Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?

36:20And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:

36:20And he made boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up.

36:20These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,

36:20Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

36:21But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

36:21So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.

36:21To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.

36:21The length of a board was ten cubits, and the breadth of a board one cubit and a half.

36:21But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.

36:21And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

36:21Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

36:22Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

36:22Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.

36:22Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

36:22Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.

36:22One board had two tenons, equally distant one from another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle.

36:22And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.

36:22Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

36:23And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.

36:23And he made boards for the tabernacle; twenty boards for the south side southward:

36:23Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.

36:23And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.

36:23And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

36:23Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?

36:24Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

36:24And forty sockets of silver he made under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons.

36:24Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.

36:24And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.

36:24For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

36:25Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.

36:25Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.

36:25And for the other side of the tabernacle, which is toward the north corner, he made twenty boards,

36:25And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.

36:25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

36:26Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

36:26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

36:26But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.

36:26And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.

36:26And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

36:27Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
